minimum wage machine

The minimum wage machine allows anybody to work for minimum wage. Turning the crank will yield one penny every 5.04 seconds, for $7.15 an hour (NY state minimum wage). If the participant stops turning the crank, they stop receiving money. The machine's mechanism and electronics are powered by the hand crank, and pennies are stored in a plexiglass box.

what is it?

it's certainly not available on e-bay.

it's undescribe-babel, but anyone who makes that journey, rich or poor, strong, weak or clever, black, white, red, yellow, day glo lime green, gentile and jew, muslim and hare krishna code warriors, if they really strip away all of that crap we call ego, and stand naked before the playa, clothed or not, and come to terms that this is ALL WE ARE, AND THIS IS WHAT WE ARE TO RETURN TO....fire and ashes and dust.....

to dust....

this is it....love one another, feed the poor, be kind to strangers, be as children, and play with fire,

and, most importantly, KEEP GOING UNTIL YOU FIND "IT"...

whatever it is, i'm sure there is a camp for it at burning man....

Why Bob Ross doesn't paint people

Ben D just sent me a video and wondered if it had our friend Jim in it. Well, it does. And my other friends from college: Brian and Beth and Jason. And oh, it was written and directed by my good friend Carin. So funny. And brilliant. Nice work guys.

Royksopp - "Remind Me"

It's only been a week,
The rush of being home in rapid fading.
Failing to recall
What I was missing, all that time in England

Has sent me aimlessly,
On foot or by the help of transportation,
To knock on windows where
A friend no longer live, I had forgotten.

And everywhere I go,
There's always something to remind me
Of another place and time
Where love that travelled far had found me.

We stayed outside till two,
Waiting for the light to come back,
But hid in talk I knew,
Until you asked what I was thinking.

Until you asked what I was thinking

Brave men tell the truth,
A wise man's tools are analogies and puzzles,
The woman holds her tongue,
Knowing silence will speak for her.

So now I'll never know,
As you will only sleep beside me,
And everywhere I go...

Will remind, will remind me
Will remind, will remind me
Will remind, will remind me
Will remind, will remind me

It's only been a week,
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
The rush of being home is rapid fading.
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
Prevailing to recall
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
What I was missing all that time in England
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me.)

Has sent me aimlessly
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
On foot or by the help of transportation,
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
To knock on windows where
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
A friend no longer live, I had forgotten.
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me.)

V for Vendetta

I had been loaned the graphic novel by a kid. After reading it, I had to see the movie. Obviously the printed page is always more condusive to your own interpretation of things...but the movie was very well made. And what a great story.
