For the first time in the history of planet Earth, in the history of consciousness, a World Spirituality is utterly possible and utterly necessary. A World Spirituality is one that trance-ends. It ends the trance of any particular religion or nationality. It weaves together the best medicines of every great system of knowing into a larger whole.
The most urgent need we have today is to participate in the gathering of all of us who want to participate in this great evolutionary unfolding. It’s already happening all over the world.

Defiant Iran says enriching uranium ‘strongly’
World powers, led by Washington, want Tehran to stop the uranium enrichment, which they suspect is aimed at making weapons. Iran denies the charge.
To try to ascertain whether Iran is making nuclear weapons from the enriched uranium, Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States and Germany are to sit down with Tehran on January 21 and 22 in Istanbul.

Commenting on the implications of WikiLeaks for the business of journalism, Center for American Progress Senior Fellow Eric Alterman writes, WikiLeaks' "target is not any U.S. policy or even the U.S. government. It is secrecy itself." As to how the cables reflect upon the work of U.S. diplomacy, Fareed Zakaria pointed out that, unlike with the Vietnam-era Pentagon Papers, the WikiLeaks cables "show Washington pursuing privately pretty much the policies it has articulated publicly. Whether on Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan or North Korea, the cables confirm what we know to be U.S. foreign policy. And often this foreign policy is concerned with broader regional security, not narrow American interests."

I found a great article

In this vein, the networked mind embodied by the internet is a global brain of Bloomesque proportions. Only here, the axons and dendrites of the brain’s nerve cells are us and the wires across which we whiz emails in seconds.
Bloom’s idea of a mass mind is a fantastical thesis that instantly makes the world seem much smaller and offers one enticing rationale for globalisation. When we get together and communicate en masse, who knows what the global winnings in the intelligence stakes might be?...
