what is it?

it's certainly not available on e-bay.

it's undescribe-babel, but anyone who makes that journey, rich or poor, strong, weak or clever, black, white, red, yellow, day glo lime green, gentile and jew, muslim and hare krishna code warriors, if they really strip away all of that crap we call ego, and stand naked before the playa, clothed or not, and come to terms that this is ALL WE ARE, AND THIS IS WHAT WE ARE TO RETURN TO....fire and ashes and dust.....

to dust....

this is it....love one another, feed the poor, be kind to strangers, be as children, and play with fire,

and, most importantly, KEEP GOING UNTIL YOU FIND "IT"...

whatever it is, i'm sure there is a camp for it at burning man....

Ami's Mommies

Ben Di and I met up with Becca and another Kevin because Ami's moms were in town tonight. We ate vegetarian japanese food in Berkeley. It was great! I loved the food and the people.

Bye, ADAPT

Summer school is over in two days, as well as my position at ADAPT school. While I am looking forward to my new position at Harvest middle school, I will miss the students and staff a lot. I am planning on visiting when I can. I think the kids know this the best move for me. I have learned a ton during my time here.

A quick film

This weekend I had the pleasure of working with a great bunch of peeps on the 48 Hour Film Festival project. Read about the Festival here. The challenge is to make a complete film during one weekend (48 hours) We drew the category of detective/cop. The required prop that had to appear was a jar of coins. The required character that had to appear was a chef named Maggie Logan and the required spoken line was "Call me as soon as you hear anything".

I was so impressed with our team and I was honored to be a part of it.

The film can be seen here.

Why Bob Ross doesn't paint people

Ben D just sent me a video and wondered if it had our friend Jim in it. Well, it does. And my other friends from college: Brian and Beth and Jason. And oh, it was written and directed by my good friend Carin. So funny. And brilliant. Nice work guys.
