Kyla and Erik have come and gone. She had gotten him tickets to a Twins spring training game for a christmas gift. The training complex is twenty minutes away from our house, so it seemend like a natural that they stay at our place. We went to the game with them and had a great time. These days, I have realized why people even live in this state: the air temperature is beyond divine. On saturday, we explored and found a new beach on sanibel. We had the perfect beach day. We were glad we could provide an oasis of warmth for them to escape to, from the sub-zero arctic minnesota temperatures, if only for a few days. The trip was entirely too short (only three days!) and we didn't want to take them to the airport this morning. All in all, it's important to remember: on the top is a pine scent, and on the bottom is nutmeeeg.
