Listening to the NPR stream of the Sigur Ros concert. I like that they are doing well. Their music is "challenging" to the typical aesthetic of music as know it. Their atmospherical noise is similar to the recordings made in
deep space. It is also contemplative and joyful like the song of the
largest animal on earth. Not bad company for the
Icelandic band.

Their most recent release is called
Takk. The album is sung in their native Icelandic tongue rather than the invented language "Hopelandic". I hope they are not offended that I could not tell the difference.
