The big news right now is Katrina. It looks like it will be the larges hurricane to ever hit this part of the US. I'm glad we got to see New Orleans when we did because it is predicted to be 20 feet underwater after tomorrow morning. Jackson Square, the French Quarter, the Garden District...gone. This is a huge deal. Emergency workers are gearing up to deal with a disaster of epic proportions. Because New Arleans is below sea level, many old cemetaries were built above ground. The tombs are expected to be flooded so add floating corpses to the flooded mess.
